The second One-Day International (ODI) match between the touring Indian team and the Sri Lankan team is scheduled to start today (4th) at 2:30 PM at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
Charith Asalanka will captain the Sri Lankan team, while Rohit Sharma will lead the Indian team. The first match between the two teams ended in a tie.
Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board has announced that spinner Wanindu Hasaranga has sustained an injury. He suffered an injury to his left leg during the first match between the two countries. As a result, Jeffrey Vandersay has been called up to the team.
Before the first match held the other day, India had a winning streak of six consecutive matches against Sri Lanka.
The last time an Indian team lost to Sri Lanka was in July 2021.
Additionally, six players from the squad named for the T20 and ODI series against India have been withdrawn due to injuries and illness. Notably, five of them are fast bowlers.
