On January 20, 2025, Melania Trump resumed her role as First Lady of the United States following President Donald Trump’s inauguration. At 54, she returns with a more confident and independent approach, aiming to expand her initiatives and document her experiences.

During the inauguration ceremony at the Capitol Rotunda, Melania wore a custom outfit by New York designer Adam Lippes, signalling a potential shift in her fashion choices towards lesser-known American designers.

Her ensemble included a wide-brimmed navy and white hat designed by Eric Javits, which notably obscured much of her face during the event.

Melania plans to revive her “Be Best” anti-cyberbullying campaign, especially in light of her son Barron’s experiences, who is now a university student.

Additionally, she is engaging in business ventures, including the launch of her own cryptocurrency, the $Melania coin, following the debut of the $Trump coin.

To offer a more personal glimpse into her life, Melania is collaborating with Amazon Studios on a documentary directed by Brett Ratner, with a reported investment of $40 million. The film aims to chronicle her life and plans, including her initiatives as First Lady.

Despite previous criticisms and perceptions of detachment, Melania’s memoir has become a bestseller, revealing a more personal side and emphasizing her independence. She intends to be more actively involved in her role during this term, arriving at the White House better prepared and with greater control over her environment.
