Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Italian Prime Minister

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni remarked that as two of the world’s oldest civilizations, Italy and China have always shown respect for each other. She acknowledged China’s significant role in addressing current global challenges and emphasized the importance of China’s international status and influence. The Prime Minister stated that Italy is willing to maintain closer and higher-level relations with China. She expressed her hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as the economy, trade, electric vehicle production, artificial intelligence, and cultural exchanges. The Italian Prime Minister also reaffirmed Italy’s firm adherence to the One China policy.
